Meeting old friends, Making new friends
WOW!
What an amazing time we had at the C2C BIZZ Project event.
Thank you to our hosts who made this event a superb, informative, engaging & ultimately enjoyable conference. As Paul said after day one, " It is not easy to keep people inspired for so long, the excitement was tangible!"
We met up with our friend Ken Alston of MBDC(second from the right) on the first morning, sharing the delicious luncheon with some of thee best coffee I have tasted in a long time.
Although the built environment is not our main focus at present, the enlightening nature of all the speakers' topics was truly awe inspiring and we were thoroughly engaged. The projects main focus is on bringing the Cradle to Cradle® principles to bare on the building industry in an innovative practical way all across North West Europe.
As Bill McDonough is one of the worlds leading architects in this realm, it makes total sense that the Cradle to Cradle® principles are adopted by others architects. The ambitious projects in Lille, Ronneby, London & Bieleveld to name but a few are engaging fully with these principles, sometimes with difficult discussions with developers and contractors. The immense commitment from everyone involved must be applauded, change is always in a state of negotiation until the job is done ey!
Seeing & hearing about what has already been achieved in this arena, we are very positive about the future developments in the building industry, after all, we LIVE in houses & WORK in buildings, should we not be making these places out of healthy materials!?
These folks are doing it and doing it well!
We are so grateful for being a part of this adventure and equally grateful for meeting such lovely, passionate & committed people along the way.
THANK YOU
